It's been a whirlwind month for me. I bid good bye to the hotel life and moved into my own place. I have to give a shout out to the folks at "the big Q" for taking good care of me. The staff always heard about how my day went, and let me munch on the occasional bowl of late-nite cereal.
Still as much fun as it was to live yards from a mall, I am loving life on the outside. It is a beautiful time of year, and I love driving to work and seeing the colors change. (I'm kind of a cliche factory today!)
I have gotten to attend/participate in a few local charity events. I was WOWED by the food at "Men Who Cook." There were four different soups I loved, including our stations cheese loaded creation. One political candidate had a fabulous sausage/tortellini soup, but the guys with the Denver Bronco's Steak Soup really blew me away.
I also volunteered at the YWCA canine companion walk for breast cancer. Very cute dogs for a great cause.
Finally, Blues on the Bridge was a nice treat my husband and I really enjoyed.
Building a life somewhere is always a process. I'll keep you posted.
